Megastar Chiranjeevi hosted a tea party for the film fraternity at the Rama Naidu studios at Jubilee Hills on Saturday evening.
Chiru said that this was not a farewell Party and that he was also not leaving the industry. I am just going away from industry, hope that the industry would be with me in my future plans....Although a section of film industry (Nandamuri heroes, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas and other stars) gave the miss, Chiru’s arch-rival Mohan Babu turning up at the party and greeting the megastar surprised everyone.

Amongst those who were present were actors Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Tarun, Nitin, Ramayakrishna, producers D Rama Naidu, Murali Mohan, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Ashwini Dutt, K L Narayana, K Raghavendra Rao and others.

Mohan Babu said he came as the star invited him with love. “One should respect the host’s invitation. That is our tradition,” he said.

Chiranjeevi went down the memory lane and recalled his association with various film personalities. He also said that he is bidding to the acting. “But it pains me to admit it as I have been in the industry for 30 years,” he said. He also explained why he was getting into politics.

When Murali Mohan asked the star to explain his party’s ideology, Chiru was embarrassed for a moments and immediately replied that this was not time to talk about politics.
