Posted by dineshgreddy Sunday, August 17, 2008

Chiranjeevi, who is yet to announce the name of his party, policies and programmes, after initial hesitation, hoisted national flag at his party office in Jubilee Hills, amidst cheers from a big gathering of his confidants, fans and admirers.

Clad in white cotton kurtha, along with his supporters including his political advisor, Dr P Mitra and his brother-in-law and film producer Allu Aravind, sung national anthem in chorus on the occasion of Independence Day.

Going down the memory lane, the megastar recalled his college days and said he had imbibed discipline while he was in the NCC. Extending wishes to the people, the matinee idol told the mediapersons "good days will come to the State soon."

Later, he distributed sweets to children and interacted with mentally retarded kids. He also explained to the children about the importance of the Independence Day.

Chiranjeevi's younger brother and actor Pavan Kalyan took part in the Independence Day celebrations organised by his fans in Qutbullapur in Ranga Reddy district. He hoisted national flag amidst his cheering fans. The actor's fans distributed blankets to the physically handicapped persons on the occasion.
